THE OFFLEY BIKE SHOW, 2007

This is a tall tale of Bikes, Beer,Bands,and hats...

Seans favorite, But He's getting on a bit & is set in his ways . . .

So,Were back again,to do our bit for Charidee mate! And also,not forgetting, getting stupidly drunk,and playing outdoors, to alledgedly 2000 plus punters. 2 of our 3 favorite pastimes...brilliant! we arrive fashionably late as usual,and park up listening t0 the last song of 10 days unshavens set...sorry lads, but what we heard sounded kool.. And so to first order of the day (its just gone 1.00,time is of the essence)...beer!

Suitably lubricated, we wandered around the site, doing what all proper petrolhead blokes do, making a long list of bikes were gonna buy for our fantasy garage, when we win the lottery, or when that dotty old aunt dies. It always amazes me, how these people get the time,money,and inclination, to produce these glorious works of art, they must miss all the good telly, live on beans on toast for years! Hats off to all you guys and gals who do it though, and Ill be there with you next year, 0n my Duccattl, All Ive just gotta do, is get a big bid on Ebay for one of my kidneys and Bobs your mothers brother!

Wandering round the show, cooing at the bikes, finishing our 4th or 5th pint, nodding in appreciation of HANG LOOSE playing on the stage, life couldnt get any better . . . Then its our turn to rock, and the poor soundman has to try and tame the awesome power that is Not wanting to rub our own rhubarb or anything, but we play a blinder! The sun is still shining, Andy hasnt collapsed, and Sean invites all his Nieces and nephews on stagein a mini stage invasion for the last song like a proper, pretentious, Oh my god were so fantastic, Rock Band does. And we manage to auction off our set lists (personally signed by the band of course) for a tidy sum for the bike charidee. If i see them on Ebay, trying to make a quick buck, i will hunt you down . . .

And so, our good deed done, its time to relax, kick back, drink more beer, eat a frikin finger lickin good curry, and take in the many wonders of the incredible show. 2 other bands attempt to follow us, THE SOUL CORPORATION, and The purple project bloody great they were too, and after that, it all becomes a hazy, beery, dancing like your Dad, did i rilly do that . . . Ohmygod, blur, well into the night. Bikers know how to party, and party they did, with all having a great time. If you aint been to one of these dos, you rilly dont know what your missing.
